MM2012 - Queenstown New Zealand - August 2012

Molecular Modelling - 2012: Discovery through Biomolecular Simulation, is the next meeting of the Association of Molecular Modellers of Australasia (AMMA) and will be held in Queenstown, New Zealand as part of Queenstown Research Week (QMB). The main themes of the conference will include computer aided drug design, computational chemistry and cheminformatics. Sessions will include Drug Discovery, Docking and Scoring, QM/MM, Molecular Dynamics, Computational Chemistry and Cheminformatics with a focus on the integration of experiment and theory.

Queenstown is located in a stunning alpine setting situated in the central south island ringed by the Southern Alps. Direct flights from the east coast of Australia, Auckland and Christchurch make it easily accessible.

Our Platinum sponsor, the Australian Synchrotron, provides users with a suite of powerful tools for analysing and visualising materials and molecules in ways that cannot be achieved using other technologies.  Our Macromolecular and Micro Crystallography beamlines allow high-throughput, high-resolution protein structure determination as well as rapid, automatic data collection and interpretation using our new analysis tool, AutoRickshaw.  Together, these tools provide researchers with detailed crystal structure information in real time.  The Small and Wide Angle Scattering techniques available provide information on the structure of complex materials and large molecular assemblies, as well as revealing important details about dynamic processes the molecules undergo.  Expert beamline scientists are on hand to ensure your experiments run smoothly, and an outstanding publication record is testament to the quality of experimental outcomes.  Visit www.synchrotron.org.au to find out more about how the Australian Synchrotron can further your research.
